Specifications and common questions

What does 40HC mean for Bunkhouse Type A?

40HC refers to a 40-foot high-cube container format. Actual internal space, layout, ventilation, occupancy and services must be confirmed against the selected bunkhouse specification.

Are layouts and fittings the same for every project?

No. Layout, fittings, utilities and access arrangements depend on the intended use and approved project requirements. Review the individual product page before requesting a quotation.

Is the shade canopy included?

No. The full-roof shade canopy is a separately priced option, subject to the final site and installation design. Its field-test results describe roof-surface temperatures, not guaranteed indoor cooling.

How do I request a quotation in Chennai?

Open the relevant product page and share the intended use, quantity, location, preferred layout and required services using its enquiry option.

Optional Add-on

Full-Roof Shade Canopy

A ventilated shade roof installed above the container roof to limit direct solar heating of the steel surface. Available as a separately priced option, subject to the final site and installation design.

Canopy roof-surface temperature field comparison dated 26 August 2026
26 August 2026: measured roof-surface temperatures. The image also includes a separate calculated reference, not a second field test.

Why add a canopy?

  • Shades the container roof from direct sunlight.
  • Maintains a ventilated air gap so heat can escape.
  • Reduces solar heat buildup at the roof surface.
  • Can be specified separately from the cabin.

Field comparison

In the 26 August 2026 side-by-side test at Maraimalai Nagar, the measured roof-surface temperature at noon was 67.0°C without canopy and 32.6°C with canopy, a difference of 34.4°C. The reported average difference from 10 AM to 4 PM was 25.9°C.

These are roof-surface readings, not indoor temperature reductions or guaranteed cooling performance. Results vary by weather, orientation, air gap and installation.

₹66,000 + GST per container, optional
